I have read the Updegraph book by Lutz and also have visited the grave of Andrew Updegraff in Iuka, KA and have seen his will probated in the County (Pratt) seat. As you know Andrew is unconnected from the family and I have made an assumption that he is the son of John (b.abt.1790) and Sarah Ann (?) b. abt 1790 in Virginia (died in Kansas). John and his son Andrew fought in the War of 1812. This Andrew was killed. I believe that my Andrew (b.1815) was named after the Andrew that died. Andrew had three brothers, Wallace, Augustus and Alfred (b.1823). Thus, I am trying to connect this John to Isaac U (b.1743) Dick C.
