I have a dilemma about two Upchurch women that I cannot seem to make sense.
Clara Frances Upchurch born about 1795, Franklin Co to Richard Upchurch, Jr and Susannah Pace. Married John Pearce.
Frances A. Upchurch born 1790 in Franklin Co. to Benjamin Upchurch(1752-1816) and Nancy Ledbetter (b. 1756). Married John Pearce from Franklin Co.
I have seen Frances(Frankie)Upchurch, Frances Ann Upchurch, Clara Frances Upchurch, Clara Upchurch. I think these might be two different women from the same family but are confused in some genealogies. One might be the aunt of the other. I am a direct descendant of John Pearce and Frances A. Upchurch. Some list her as Clara. Which is correct??
Were Clara Frances and Susan Upchurch that married Nathan Pearce related?? I am also a direct descendant of this union of Nathan Pearce and Susan Upchurch.
Again, I am confused. Does someone out there have enough knowledge of these Upchurches to clear this up for me??
