Clete, I believe there is a real possibility that the Upchurch may have come in this way to the Jackson family...
Reuben Upchurch married Clementine Jackson---7/17/1852--Obion Co, TN....I think this could be Martha C. Jackson (daughter of Matthew Avery Jackson) listed on census..Martha C. Upchurch married William H. Thompson--8/9/1860 Independence Co, AR..
Anyway, just something to consider.....
