Looking for someone who can help me find info on an African by the name of Frederick Christopher(son) who worked as a hand on a sugar plantation. It is documented he had come from New Orleans around 1840 -1850s. He ended up on a ship to Australia 1850's and stayed here.
Trying to find out if he had family in the US. One report said had an alias of Peter Nowl and he may have been called that but usually was called Frederick Christopher. I have a good description of him.
As he refused to give authorities his age they assumed he was 27 or 28 in 1856 so I figure he was born around 1828/9. He was not a slave here in Australia.
Would really like some help or advice on how to find out more info about his life in the US as I am in Australia.
