This is a possibility - at least he is the right age:

1860 Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania census:
John "Stinson", age 33, b. Ireland, occupation drayman
Jane "Stinson", age 36, relationship not shown

I am thinking a drayman was a person who hauled things by wagon.

I did not find this person n 1870. There is always the possibility he got caught up in the draft for the Civil War - could even have been killed in it.

Sandra
