My Great-Great-Grandmother was named Anna Elizabeth (Last name not known). She married Nicholas Beinhauer of Columbia, Lancaster, PA (date not known).

Nicholas emigrated to The United States From Hesse Cassle, Germany via the port of Bremen, Germany in 1844 aboard the ship Lucilla. He arrived at the Port of Richmond, VA in the 3rd quarter of 1844.

According to the 1850 Census, Nicholas lived in Columbia, Lancaster, PA and sometime between 1844 and 1848 had married a woman named Susan. Susan and Nicholas had one child, Ann M. Beinhauer who was born in 1848.

I've never been able to find any information whatsoever regarding Susan. I recently visited a Lutheran Church nearby that has in its possession the records of the church that Nicholas attended and where he served as a trustee.I was unable to secure any information that was relative to the family in general.

On the 1860 Census, again in the Borough of Columbia, Lancaster, PA, Nicholas had remarried. The name of his second wife with whom he spent the remainder of his life, was Anna Elizabeth (last name is unknown). They had three children. They are ... Catharine Elizabeth Beinhauer, Ella Huber, Henry Huber & Charles E. Huber.

Their Information follows:

1. Catharine Elizabeth Beinhauer (my Great Grandmother)
Born: 1851 in Columbia, Lancaster, PA
She married a man named Emanuel C. Huber

They had 4 children:

Ella Huber
Born 1874
Henry Huber
Born: 10 June 1875 in Lancaster, Lancaster, PA
Died: March 1967 in Rocky Grove or Franklin, Verango, PA
Charles E. Huber
Born: 9 April 1879
Died: October 1962
Katie Huber
Born: 1880

My Great-Grandmother also had a child out of wedlock. His name is William Nicholas Aston (my Grandfather). He was born in Columbia, Lancaster, PA on 11 October 1871 and died on 9 March 1933 also in Columbia, lancaster, PA. Although his supposed father was an Aston (no information available), he was raised as William Nicholas Beinhauer until just prior to his marriage to Elizabeth Ann Richards in May of 1891 when he found that his name was listed on his birth certificate as Aston, at which time he changed his name to Aston and was known as such throughout the remainder of his life.

2. Margaret Anna Beinhauer
Born: 1856 in Columbia, Lancaster, PA
She married a man named George Baus
They had a son named George Baus (Jr ?)

3. Mary Johanna Beinhauer
Born: 8 January 1959 in Columbia, Lancaster, PA
Died: 8 August 1935 in Columbia, Lancaster, PA
She married a man Named George Dout

I hope that this information generates a link with somebody who is researching this family line. I've worked hard on trying to gather information but as you can see, I've not been overly successful.
