Looking for any information regarding George Unger and Elizabeth Stilson, said to both be immigrants from Germany, who late 1700’s—early 1800’s, resided in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. Their known children are George W. Unger born October-20-1818; and David Unger born ca. 1825—1832, both in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. George W. and David both migrated to Ohio. At Republic, Seneca County, Ohio, on 09-October-1846, George W. Unger married Anna P. Swigart, born 12-February-1829 in Carroll County, Maryland. George W. Unger served in Company E, 86th Regiment, Indiana Volunteer Infantry, of the Union Army. George and Ann Unger lived out the remainder of their lifetimes in Eden Twp, and in Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio. George aand Ann Unger are buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, (at city of Tiffin,) in Clinton Twp, Seneca County, Ohio. In Richland County, Ohio, on 03-April-1856, David Unger married Barbara Ann Johnson, born Pennsylvania. David Unger served in Company D, 197th Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry, of the Union Army. David and Barbara Unger migrated about 1865 to Van Wert County, Ohio, migrated about 1867 to Ionia County, Michigan; to the village of Ada in Kent County, Michigan; to Barry County, Michigan; about 1874 they relocated to Crystal Township, in Oceana County, Michigan. 1880 U.S. Census lists David/Barbara Unger at Leavitt, Oceana County, Michigan. David Unger died 01-June-1912, aged 81 years, at the Michigan Soldiers Home, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Barbara Unger died (after 1912)______________ David and Barbara Ann (Johnson) Unger are buried in the Crystal Valley Cemetery, village of Crystal Valley, in Oceana County, Michigan.
