I do have the list of everyone buried in the Geiger cemetery--somewhere. When I find it, I'll post the information.

From "History of Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, Vol.III" published in 1907:

This is in reference to the father of Christian Geiger who married Catherine Snyder.

"William Geiger

Emigrated from Saxony, Germany about 1773 with his brother Barnhart.

Settled first in Delaware County, later went to Chester County and finally took up their abode in Dauphin County.

In 1773, according to old records, they leased land which now forms the site of the city of York, York County.

William Geiger settled in Middle Paxton Township. Took up a very large tract of land from the government, cleared up a considerable portion of the land and engaged in farming. Established and operated on of the first distilleries.

His wife was a French woman, by who he had fourteen children.

At the time of his death was over 100 years old."
