I have been searching for gg grandfather Augustus Robertson in NY and NJ. Found him in NJ in 1860 census with parents William and Charlotte Robinson and John and Gilbert Underhill. Augustus lived with his Uncle Joseph G. Underhill in NY in 1880 so I started researching the Underhill family. I found quite a bit of info on the LDS site. It seems that Charlotte, Joseph, John and Gilbert were siblings (among many others).
I guess I am just trying to find out any info that I can. I would really like to be able to confirm that this William and Charlotte Robinson are indeed my Augustus' parents.
Gilbert P. Underhill married Eliza Ann Disbrow 1826
Child Charlotte Rebecca Underhill b Jan 6 1827
married William H Robinson Aug 10, 1851 in Greenburgh Westchester
I found a William and CHarlotte Robinson in 1860, 1870 living in Rahway NJ children Matilda, Augustus, Eugenia
Charlotte later lived with Matilda's family in 1880-1900
1900 census actually shows her last name as Underhill.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you
