Pretty please please call me! I know I probably shouldn't give you my number on this site but I'll be away from the computer a few days.

Call my cell 608-576-9915. Please give me your great granfather Unbehau(e)n's names and the other relative's names.

My Unbehauns arrived in 1857 in Green Bay. They were farmers. Several of them worked on the Great Lakes and ended up going back and forth to Michigan and living in both states.

The census takers butchered the name. I found my family in the 1860's census under Dumboham, in Green Bay.

The name on our side of the family has also been spelled Umbehaun, Umberham, Unbehand, Unbehann, etc.

I am related to the Unbehauns in Richland County back to the early 1700's. We are 7th cousins. I do have Allen's book, the Unbehauns of America, so we could compare pictures.

There are also two cousins in Green Bay (Unbehauns) who could possibly I.D. photos.

I'm anxious to hear from you because another cousin and I are working on this side of the family. I'm meeting with some cousins by marriage in Stevens Point on 11-12-2010 to discuss Unbehauns and Obersts.

Please contact me.
