Kathryn-- Your message indicated that Charles Edward Unangst (b. 8 Dec 1850, Warren Co., NJ - d. after 1920) "probably remained single". That may not be correct. He appears in both the 1900 (Kane, Potawattomie Co., Iowa) and the 1910 Bartlett, Wheeler Co., Nebraska) censuses as a widower. Leroy Sternhagen's records indicate he married "Effie" in 1893. She died in 1894.
