I am looking for links to my great grandfather, Christopher Tinsman Unangst, from Swartzwood, NJ. He had a grist mill at High Falls, up the hill from the Swartzwood Post office. I was told he policed the Lake on a boat as a younger man. He was a carpenter, as I was handed down a beautiful set of hand carving tools with his initial on it. There is a house next to the post office that has his initials icorportated into a wooden porch railing which still stands today. I have an interesting poem written by Frederick Gordon that was in our family Bible. It mentions Mattie and Nell, Charley and John Warren, Grandma in Nebraska and relatives in the west. I have no information beyond Christopher. He married Nettie Snover from that area and had a boy, Herbert Milton Unangst. Herbert moved to Scranton, had Charles and Donald, charles had me. I am seeking links to this family.
