HARLEY WILLIAM DAWSON was born October 23, l894, at Chariton, Iowa, and died March 6th, l9l8.
On October l2, l9l6, he was united in marriage to MISS ETHEL A. UMPHRESS, of Leon, Iowa. To this union was born one child, GERALD REX. Both wife and child survive him. He is also survived by his father, ED. F. DAWSON and mother, ROSA B. DAWSON, three brothers and two sisters, LOUIS E., of Carroll, Iowa; ANTON E., of Cainsville, Mo.; MRS. MINNIE DOUROS, of Hanna, Wyo. One brother, GEORGE, preceded him by some three years.
He was mustered into service in the National Army on September l9, l9l7 and was discharged October 28, l9l7, on account of ill health and never recovered after returning home.
HARLEY also leaves a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his departure. By all he will be remembered as a loving husband and father and a kind and true friend. As a Christian he professed conversion in the Apostolic Church.
The funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Friday afternoon, March 8th, Rev. W.T. Waddell being in charge.
