I believe that this Henry A. Umfress was the son of William A. Umfress and Candance Melvina Wallace Umfress. William A. and J. Stokely Ellis Umfress were brothers. Their father was Middleton C. Umfress. The Middleton name comes from his mother's grandfather, Thomas Middleton.
