Hi Kelley Umphress. I find your post interesting. My grandmother was an Umphress(Kate) Tallapoosa County in Ala. is where the Umphress line from which I come seemed to settle. I had a brother named James Thomas Jones who died at age 2, but it makes me wonder if my mother (Kate's daughter) may have named him from the family line. Do you think you could be connected to our family line? My Great Grandfather was John Riley Umphress and GGrandmother was Martha Susan Johnston.
