I married an "Umphress" (James Thomas Umphress) from Aucilla, FL on 2/13/93, and we now have 1 son, Jacob Thomas Umphress, born 10/12/95 and reside in Tallahassee, FL. I had wondered for the longest time where the surname Umphress was from... it is sounding more and more like it's from Wales/Scotland. I am a Peddie, which I've recently learned is mostly Irish/Scottish with many Peddies residing also in England. Stands to reason, the "Scots" stick together. = )
