Hood county genealogy society has information on Mitchell Brown Umphress. Mitchell is my great great grand father, Serastus my great grand father, Jacob Rollins my grand father. Odus Burl is my dad. The preceding grew up in Dallas and Granbury- Hood co. Tx. I can trace the Umphress family back to Flordia but do not know where they came from. Hope this helps. James Ed Umphress
