Can you tell me..So their was the Jerome Humberson b.~1892, and it was his son Jerome b.~1810 changed his name to Umberson ?

One of the Tabor/Kellum/Presnal references I have says the Jerome that married Elizabeth Kellum was an orphan. Is that true and was it the first or second Jerome ?
