I have a John Umberger, b. 1790 Wythe Co., VA married in 1805 to Mary Pruner, b. 1788 Virginia, d. 1827. John was s/o John and Maria Umberger.

I have a son Levi for John and Mary who was born 12-14-1816 Wythe Co., VA and d. 6-6-1844 Wytheville, Wythe Co., VA married 5-1-1838 in Wytheville to Mahala Barker, b. 1816 Campbell, VA, d. 1878 Wythe Co., VA.

Their son Marion Laf Umberger, b. 1853 Wythe Co., VA, d. 1932 m. to Missouri F. Hedrick, b. 1871 Wythe Co., VA, d. 1961 Wythe Co., VA.

Their son, Archer, b. 1880 Wythe Co., VA, d. 1951 married 10-10-1906 to Lula Cedelia Tarter, b. 3-21-1885 Rural Retreat, Wythe Co., VA, d. 10-23-1913 Amarillo, TX.

Lula was my 3rd cousin, 3x removed. Her mother, Elizabeth Jane Hounshell was 2nd cousin, 1x removed to my greatgrandmother, Sarah Elizabeth Hounshell of Breathitt Co., KY.
