Hi Michelle, Just saw your posting and wanted to share what I thought was interesting, but might just be coincidental. My great, great grandmother had a brother named George Ulrich, born in circa 1850 in West Seneca, Erie Co. NY. That is a suburb of Buffalo, NY. He married a woman named Mimma Lutz (Lutz was the surname of her late husband and I don't know what his first name was). However, she had 9 children by her first husband. According to the 1880 US Federal Census, film #273, reel #827, the household consisted of: George Ulrich age 30 and head of household, occupation farmer, parents born in Wurttemburg, Germany. Mimma (which could also be a nickname for Miriam), age 35, wife, born in NY. William, age 12, stepson, born in NY, at school Mary, age 11, stepdaughter, born in NY, at school Minnie, age 9, stepdaugher, born in NY, at school Amelia, age 8, stepdaughter, born in NY, at school Louisa, age 7, stepdaughter, born in NY, at school Ida, age 7, stepdaughter, born in NY, at school John, age 4, stepson, born in NY, at school Clara, age 2, stepdaughter, born in NY John, age 80, father in law of Mimma (her late husbands father). Hope this helps! Diane Notify Administrator about this message?
