Hi Chris,
I had a question about Andrew Ulrich the Butcher.
In 1870 he is living at 432 W. 39th St.
Please see the 1870 Census - 8th distr. 20th ward Andrew's family is listed as # 370.
see also page 40 for family # 349 which is Dora Reilly age 22.
Now see family # 350, it is Michael Ulrich (age 66) , and his wife Dorethea Ulrich .
Are they Andrew's parents?
I am trying to prove that they are my Barbara Ulrich Clover & Dora Reilly's Grandparents.
Making them Michael's parents also.
It is possible Michael named his first daughter Dora after his mother, and I suspect he was the first son and was named Michel after his father.
Michael was born abt. 1831, Andrew was born abt. 1836.
All the ages are ideal for the relationships I am suggesting.
Barbara Ulrich listed her address in 1869 and in 1873 as 429 W. 39th.
It is easy to think that she lived among her sister, grandparents, Uncles, and cousins.
I believe the Andreas who came with them on the boat in 1852, and who signed her Marriage Cert. is the same Andrew who is a butcher in 1870 and resides at 432 W.39th.
I look forward to your reply.
Gloria
