I have nothing on the names you mention, but I wonder if there might be a connection. The Blue Earth county you have and the Nicollet county I have are adjoining counties. The Minnesota river runs between them with Nicollet county to the north and Blue Earth county to the south. I have other family lines in the Vernon Center area, but did not have Ulrich there.
