Your are right on both. Jacob Ulmer of South Carolina is John Jacob Ulmer, born in 1758, and Jacob Ulmer born in Va. in 1758 is my relations. Jacob in South Carolina died in 1790 (i think) my in 1835 in ILL. Jacob Ulmer is in Indiana and I have the orginial land record in 1820 for him and a petition record from the Rev. war.
