I am researching the Samuel Franklin Ulmer family (1871-1944). I know that his father was Frank Ulmer, but nothing more. My friend has a deed for Jacob Dill that lists Frederick Ulmer on the plat for 172 acres on Bay Branch, Orangeburg Dist. in 1803. Another deed dated 1908. We guess that Jacob and John Frederick Ulmer are ancestors, but can't make the connection. We are missing 2 or 3 generations. Can anyone help?
