So far i have found two origins for the surname Ulery. Irish and German.
The Irish origin came from O'Leary or O'Leery. Which originally came from O'Laoghaire. That line can be traced back to the ancient kings of Ireland. Specifically the kings of of the province of Munster. But also to a High King over all Ireland in the third century A.D. I have more information on this if anyone is interested. Many O'learys can still be found in County Cork.
And the German origin has already been discussed here.
I am currently trying to trace my family line back to see which one i am from.
