Michelle..thank you for responding. This is what I have found since I posted my message: In the 1850 Ohio, Clermont Co. census, page 36, there is listed a D. S. Ulrey (born ca. 1821 in Ohio)a shoemaker, married to a Sarah (born ca. 1829 in Ohio) with 2 children George W. and Emma. Also in the same household was a William Ulrey age 28, shoemaker. I don't know that this is the D. S. I'm looking for but the birth dates would be about right. However my D. S. was married to Nancy Roseberry about 1850-1855 and was in Jefferson Co., Indiana in 1857 when their son, Valancort, was born and in Bartholomew Co., Indiana when a daughter, Alveretta, was born in 1861. I'm sure D. S. was married more than once. Nancy Roseberry was married twice. I don't know their movement or connection to Greene Co., Pa. except that Nancy was born there in 1817.
It would help to know the given name of D. S. Any help would be greatly appreciated..
Katie
