It definitely could be...
One doubt I have is that the immigration records are pretty clear giving Luba as the origin... I figured it would be a pretty simple word to write down. I would think an "R" would be pretty noticeable in a word as in Lubar.
Any suggestions on where to go from here? I think my ancestor might have been half Jewish with the mother's name on the marriage certificate given as Mary Levon, while the father was Arkhip Turko.
Again, I appreciate the help!
