Thank you for your time and info.My grandfather Mikla must have passed sometime around 1914 when the last of his six children was born.My grandmother remarried and had the first of her children to this marriage in l9l7.In my search of Alderson, Pa., it seems the only thing left of the town is Alderson Rd., in Harvey's Lake, Pa.Interesting though when I looked up Szerednye, I found that the area was known for it's fine oak barrels used for wine.In the early days of Harvey's Lake, there was a saw mill. This may be the reason for settling in that area.
I have my grandmother's info on her death in 1932, her church and she was buried with her second husband. All of the Mikla (changed to Micklo) siblings have passed.I'm new to this and I'm still learning.I plan to take a trip to Pa., in Sept., and I'll be stopping at the court house and the library.I'm determined to find where my grandfather is buried to thank him and pass this info on to his family for giving us the gift of living in America.
