want to take advantage of FTDNA's amazing "sale" (until June 30) to buy a free DNA test for a male whose ancestral surname is Tymoszenko. Here's why.
My high school teacher of both German and Russian was Ms. Tymoszenko. From Poltava, she spelled her name the Polish way because after World War II, the only way her family could escape Stalin's Communism was by pretending to be Polish refugees. My regular language course was German, but she also taught me Russian on the side.
My hobby is DNA testing for ancestry and genealogy--in fact I am the volunteer administrator of the Polish(-Lithuanian-Ukrainian) Project. I would like to test Ms. Tymoszenko's lineage, but I never got to know her family except her daughter.
At this point, to take quick advantage of the "sale," I am willing to pay for the Y-DNA37+mtDNA test for any male of Ukrainian patrilineal ancestry whose ancestral surname is Tymoszenko. But you need to let me know by June 30--send me direct email.
