Chovnitsi, in Lutsk vacinity 1917-1920

My paternal Grandfather came from an area around Lutsk that was called Chovnitsi (not sure of the spelling). I also heard the family mention Lviv. I cannot find Chovnitsi on the map of Ukraine and was hoping perhaps someone on the Forum may have heard of the village.

On a second note, I would like to know if there is a good site where one could find information on the Ukrainian Military around 1917-1920.
