Buczacz is of course in modern day Ukraine at N49/05E25/24.It was in Poland only between WW I and WW II.
By using http://www2.jewishgen.org/ShtetlSeeker/locrad.htmhttp://www2.jewishgen.org/ShtetlSeeker/locrad.htm , I researched every town within a 30 mi. radius starting with P.The closest matches to your location would be either Podhajce at 17.5 mi. NW of Buczacz or Podolye at 19.3 mi SSE of there.
There are closer spelling matches which you can find using http://www2.jewishgen.org/ShtetlSeeker/loctown.htmhttp://www2.jewishgen.org/ShtetlSeeker/loctown.htm but, as you say, they are somewhat distant from Buczacz and therefore do not fit the district description.
The feminine ending you describe is a common Slavic form.
