Hello! I am new here, and just beginning to learn that I have Ukrainian ancestry when I had always assumed it was Russian. My great-great grandfather's name was George Kubrick (Kobrick/Kubryk) - I've heard several versions of the original spelling.
He moved to the U.S (Pennsylvania 2nd, New York 1st) before 1900 (around early 1890s I believe). Does anyone have any information on either George or the root of the Kubrick in Ukraine? Any help will be appreciated!
