I don't really pay attention too much to the cm and block numbers although I suppose I should. I had about 100 matches and basically the shared segments are usually small.
For most matches that have uploaded family trees I really couldn't see any connections going back several generations.
I wonder if a lot of people just get their dna tested and hope someone else has done all the paperwork on the surnames?
I got replies from many of the people I emailed but some ignored me, I don't understand that either. I don't think one single person ever emailed first me on FTDNA, and I don't understand that either??
I joined a lot of projects because a lot of people just join the projects and don't post their results on the matches sections. Then you can get matches on the projects. There are Ukrainian projects, Polish, Carpatho-Rusyn etc.
