Kathy,

Excuse my igorance.I now understand what you were asking. Following is a long, but enlightening read about the growth of Southern Russian ( Ukraine during Tsarist Period) Evangelicalism. By the 1860's the Baptist Movement had swiftly spread in Kherson, Ekaternoslav and Kyiv gubernia/regions. In 1879 the Tsarist govt granted legal recognition to Baptists, allowing them to preach and form congregations. Baptist births, marriages and deaths were
finally being regisered by civil authority. This time frame coincides w/the births, marriages and deaths in both the Korenchuk and Rovenko families.

Once I find Rohy and Popovka in proximity to each other, I will see if I can locate records for Nikolaj and Fedora.

It will probably take me a little time, so please be patient.

I knew about the Molokans, but the history of Stundists and Baptists is a very new subject for me.
