Your ancestral village was first documented in 1263. The system was feudal and the settlement consisted of a lord and loads of serfs. BTW that is 125+ yrs before Columbus discovered the Americas. Today the village (although clustered***) still exists and enjoys a population of 1,325.

***Historically Kis Rath was where the nobility lived and Nagy Rath was mainly where the peasants lived.
