Tracing my father's family-Teodor Hnatiuk-Ukraine

My father Teodor Hnatiuk was born in 1920 in Stary Taraz. This part of Ukraine was taken over by Poland in I think 1919 so he would technically be classed as Polish but his family would be Ukrainian. He is now dead and as he was taken as a forced labourer by the Germans I have no knowledge of his family. I have tried to trace using a Polish genealogist but no luck although I have some names such as his father was Wasyl Hnatiuk and his grandparents were Nicola and Marta. Apparently the family were Greek Orthodox. I would dearly love to know more. Does anyone know of a genealogist who specialises in Ukraine who could help me trace the family tree. I know that this area is notorious for missing documentation but there may be church records available. I have other place names and dates of birth available as a start.
