Hello, Marcy!

To be honest I didn't understand clearly what exactly you would like to get from this site and checked the name of village and this surname online.
This village stil exsists and its history starts with 1912 (according to officail site of Ukrainian goverment). As far as it 'a part of Zakarpatskaya oblast you can send request to the state archive. If you wish I can find an address for you.
But I found something interesting for you. There was an article about citizen of Mukachevo district (town in Zakarpat'e) who came to idea that his family was a relative to Vasko de Gama. He tells that their Mother's sister with surname Vasko lived in Budapest. And his mother's maiden surname was Vasko. Probably it's a part of the family you are looking for?
His name is Lovrant Bokotey and he lives in place Chinadievo of Mukachevskiy district.
Here is the link to the article
