Hello Hania,Thank you for responding.I think Pinchas or Psisach would probably more correct as well as Skvirsky/Skwirsky.I tried to go by the sounding my mother gave to me years ago.I just know my great grandfather left Ukraine with his family which included my grandfather Louis who was born January 1898 or January 1900.Louis was about 5 years old when the family left for the States but the sponsor ended up not meeting them and they had to go to England instead.So I don't know if there were relatives in the States at that time.My great grandfather was the youngest of many many sons in his family.(I believe my mother said there were about 20 sons)and possibly 2 wives.Yes he was married prior to immigrating, his wife went with him.I am not sure if he was a tailor, it was quite possible.I say that because my grandfather Louis was a tailor.He could have learned the trade from his father.Thank you again.
