I think St. George is most likely to be a parish name - this was often shown on certificates or baptism records in parish registers.Looking at my parish boundary map of London before 1837, there are several possibilities. My feeling is that possibly the most likely is the parish of St. George in the East, since this is one of the parishes adjoining St. Dunstan, Stepney (another of the places you mentioned). Close by there was also St. George Wheelers Chapel which was part of the parish of Christ Church, Spitalfields.Apart from these, there was, of course, St. George, Hanover Square which was a huge parish in the Westminster/Pimlico area of London. If the details you have simply say St. George then this would be the one I'd try first I think.Lastly, there was St. George the Martyr, Southwark and St. George, Camberwell - but I think these two would have been classed as Surrey not Middlesex.
Hope this gives you some help.
