Hi Henry,

No, the birth record I gave you is front he indexed entries which do not show parents. Odd thing, though is that it shows him born Hackney, London but he is not in the London birth database - I suppose it could be they just never registered him there?

I took another look in London database just in case I had missed him but still cannot find him there.

I tried again o find him in passenger lists, or in naturalization records but again no luck

How sure are you that he was born 1866? 1930 census has him born about 1862
1900 has April 1866
1920 has him born about 1870 and it also shows him immigrating in 1873

in others he is shown immigrating 1880 so ?? If he immigrated 1873 he would likely have been with his parents

he is a mystery for sure
