Hi David, Well, I found some births that may be the right ones. All of these children are listed as children of William and Eleanor Hammond Henry, baptized Jan. 30, 1814, St. Giles, Cripplegate, London, born Dec. 9, 1813 George Henry, baptized Oct. 20, 1816, St. Giles, Cripplegate, London Samuel, baptized April 18, 1819, St. Giles, Cripplegate, London I know that George has a different middle name than you gave, but he does have right parents names. George and Samuel do not have birth date showing, just baptismal date. This record database is from births in London 1813 to 1906 so if the other children were born before 1813 which is likely they are not included. There is another database for baptisms 1808-1812 but it is not indexed and there are 95 pages so too many to get through. I also found marriage which it seems you already have but I don't know what details you have so here is what I found. Some of it was hard to read as edge of page blurred. Saint George, Bloomsbury , Sept. 27, 1800 Marriage William Hammond and Eleanor Clapham, both of this Parish, married in this Church by Banns this twenty seventh day of September, year one thousand eight hundred by me A.P. Poston, Curate. In the presence of John Griffiths and Samuel Harrison Marriage was solemnized between us - Wm. Hammond and Eleanor Clapham (her mark) I notice that Samuel Harrison is witness on several other marriages on same page. I found two burials that may be your William and Eleanor. You didn't say if you knew when and where they died so here is what I found. PARISH OF ST. JAMES, CLERKENWELL, ISLINGTON, MIDDLESEX - 1837 - BURIALS HAMMOND Eleanor, age 62 Abode: Coppice Row buried: Jan. 27, 1837 PARISH OF ST. JAMES, CLERKENWELL, ISLINGTON, MIDDLESEX - 1841 HAMMOND William, age 62 Abode: Coppice Row Buried March 22, 1841 I found a marriage for Rebecca Ann PARISH OF ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST, HOXTON, COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX MAY 27, 1855 Henry Mercer, of full age, bachelor, wheelwright, residence: Bridport Place Father: John Mercer, gardener Rebecca Ann Hammond, of full age, spinster Residence: Great Chart Street Father: William Hammond, deceased In the presence of: William Hammond, and Eleanor Hammond William Ballard ** I wonder who this William Hammond is and who the Eleanor is as if the burial above is correct mother Eleanor was deceased at time of this marriage. Do you know the married name of Eliza and the wives names for George, Henry and Samuel?? If so, I could look for their marriages for you. Carolyn L Notify Administrator about this message?
