Many thanks for your suggestion.
I had vaguely thought on similar lines but never did he use the name Taylor in censuses nor was it repeated within the family!
But you have resparked my interest.
However his death date cert may have it or it's entry in a parish register or newspaper!
I can't recall his death but it was certainly in the mid 1900's
He was my wife's GGrandfather.
John Taylor Cundall has plagued me for years and the "coincidence" of John's father being a Tailor!
I'll look up his death and take it from there, again and keep your route open.
Are you into Cundalls, if so come to the reunion in Denver June next!
