Thanks Don. The situation is certainly becoming clearer with each reply I receive. The person I am looking at had their name changed at 14 and we think it is somehow linked to the need for an ID card that carried the same name as the rest of the family. The fact that you had one at 11 or 12 seems to confirm this as a possibility.
