Samuel Uhlfelder of (b 1832 d 16 Dec 1889) Bavaria married Bertha Meyberg b 1848. They are listed in the 1870 NY census with three children Louisa b 1866, Hermann (Henry) b 1867 d 1949, Manfred S. b 1869.
Hermann(Henry) returned to Germany at some time was an engineer and instrumental in the German autobahn. He married Addie Seligman, daughter of the banker Herman (Henry) Seligman of Seligman & Stettheimer in Frankfurt am Main. They had at least one child Erna b1900-d 1982. She came to the US in 1931, 1932 once using her uncle Manfred as a contact. Manfred remained in the NYC area listed as being in Yonkers. She married Paul (Rosenberg) Rhodes in 1936. Herman Uhlfelder reentered the US in 1938 lived in CA, with his daughter's family until his death in 1949. My daughter Sarah is the granddaughter of Erna nee Uhlfelder Rhodes.
