I only have your Roth am Sand Uhlfelders back to Abraham who was born around (1810 +/- to 1820 +/- ?????)..just guestimating. Abraham started the bad branch of the Uhlfelders who all had bad genes that made them paint pictures or worse, take photographs. I regret having to inform you of this fact....but now that your 40 years old I believe you can take it. The branch I am looking for dates back further. It is entirely possible that Abraham came from that branch. I am seeking: (1) More information to prove that my Grandfather Jacob was the son of David Cohn Uhlfelder and hopefully information shown on: Jacob Uhlfelder's record of birth(February 28, 1828) David Cohn Uhlfelder's record of birth (about 1779), marriage and death. This may include the parents names, ages, residence, location and anything else written there. The information I have is that David's children were named Babette (b. 1805),Josef (b.1806), ***Abraham*** (b.1807),Wolf Wilhelm (b.April 30, 1812 in Dormitz), Loeb (b.July 1, 1813 in Feurth), Emanuel (b.September 13,1819 in Dormitz), and maybe my Jacob (b. February 28, 1828). If David's parents names are found I would then hope that a further search could be made for their respective birth place, marriage, death date, profession, etc. It was David who took the name Uhlfelder and two of his brothers took the names Rosenheimer and Rosenfelds. They did this just to confuse future family researchers... or they had a mean streak which came from Abraham. (2)Records of any of the children of David Cohn Uhlfelder with the hope that I can connect other Uhlfelders to this family....particularly those of the famous Francisco Huguenin Uhlfelder. (3) information about any Uhlfelders in the vicinity of Dormitz and beyond (even Roth am Sand). Because of my search for my ancestors I have become an official Uhlfelder tracker. I have collected a substantial quantity of data which I hope to ultimately connect if the good Lord grants me enough time. (I think I will need more time than the Lord can grant me! Lord, if you are listening, give me enough time please) If my Jacob and David are related to your Abraham you should know that the information that I have from the Rosenheimer Family Tree is as follows: The father of David Cohn Uhlfelder was Jantoph L{"o}b Cohn, Rabbi,Dormitz,, Germany. Jantoph's father was Joseph Cohn , Rabbi died 1799 in Dormitz, Germany. Joseph's father was Jomtow Cohn, Rabbi, born in Erlangen, Germany and died 1749 in Dormitz. So my dear friend, there you have it......as brief as I can make it. Will send more to confuse you at a later time. Ron Notify Administrator about this message?
