Hi there,
I'm reposting this query on behalf of my 1st cousin, Betty Whiteing, who is seeking information on her mother's family.
Betty's maternal grandfather used the name:

John Edward HENDERSON as an adult, but his surname may have been HANRAHAN at birth.

Little is known of John's beginnings or his parents, but John's mother is listed as Theresa (GASSNER) HANRAHAN and
John's sister Margaret is listed as "Maggie HANRAHAN" on her birth registration. She was born in Missouri Valley, Harrison Co. Iowa.
We're still seeking the place of births and birth registrations for John & his other known siblings.
There is another sister, "Nellie" (Ellen?) who m: married Cornelius UHL and a brother George.
(Not sure what surname George used as an adult)

John m: 1) Josephine UHL (sister to his sister Nell's husband Cornelius Uhl) and 2) Ruth _?_
John and Josephine had four daughters; all born throughout in the US midwest.
1) Marjorie, b: 1911, in Omaha, Nebraska
2) Irma, b: 1914, in Clay Center, Kansas
3) Margaret, b: 1916, in Omaha, Nebraska, and
4) Norma, b: 1920.in in Worthington, Minnesota

Josephine died in 1923, when youngest daughter Norma was three,
When John remarried he took the two older daughters, Margorie & Irma, to live with himself and the new wife, Ruth.
The two youngest girls, Margaret and Norma, went to live with Josephine's sister Emma (UHL) BEIL and her husband Edward C. BEIL in Omaha, Nebraska.
Josephine's brother Cornelius UHL and wife (John's sister Nell) also lived in Omaha, Nebraska.
If anyone has any of these folks in their family line or could offer any advice on where to seek information, we'd really appreciate it.
Betty's mother is still living and we'd like to solve this mystery for her soon.
.
Thank you!
Bye for now,
Kathleen (Whiteing) Fitzgerald
