I/O Operation Failure
Posted by: Ronald Kirkpatrick (ID *****6075) Date: July 19, 2003 at 10:43:21

UFT will only run on a letter "C" Hard Drive. The letter "C" for the Hard Drive is imbedded in the UFT software and it won't recognize any other letter. My hard drive recently crashed and a new one was installed with the letter "F" for identification. My backup of UFT would not open nor would a new install of UFT 3.0. A message "I/O Operation Faliure" would come. Melissa & Richard of the Arlington RUG told me the "F" letter was probably the problem. I re-installed the new hard drive with the letter "C" for identification. Now my UFT back-up runs fine and UFT 3.0 installs as it should. Ron
