Missing text from 98 to new XP

I upgraded from 98 to a new computer with MSN XP. I used a
network cable to transfer my UFT3. Some of my files are missing text. I had Word and my new computer uses Word Perfect. I have put the 3.1 patch on but UFT still shows me as having 3.0. How can I get my missing text?
