To put things in perspective, many of the bug fixes in UFT 3.1 were a "good faith" last ditch effort by the management to correct new bugs introduced in UFT 3.0 that were not present in UFT 2.7 and 2.9.
If I had a working copy of UFT 2.7, I would not upgrade to 2.8. I would upgrade any version 2.6 or older version to 2.8.
And no, I don't remember the exact bug fixes, as I do not actually use any of these programs except for trouble shooting. But it had to do with fouling up some narrative Report that I liked in UFT 2.7. :-).
It may be that the answer for diehard UFT users is to hang on to an old computer that works, but to not be afraid of buying a brand new computer that leap frogs the current one they are having trouble with. Try before buying of course.
