The biggest thing is that the FOXW2600.ESL file is updated in the current in UFT3.0/3.1. You have probably been seeing a lot of notes on this board about the "Divide by zero" problem. These are Error messages received when starting the UFT program (white foxpro screen stating that an error has occurred are known as the "Divide by Zero" problem), and they usually occur with PRE-3.0 VERSIONS versions on fast computers

Also, in order to get the patch for 3.0 (which IS 3.1), you must have purchased 3.0 (I guess you know that).

And, if it helps, the following items have been addressed in the 3.1 update:

Corrected a issue in the Family Journal report that caused text following citations to be cut off.

Corrected a issue in Find and Replace where conducting a search and replace on name does not update the surname field.

Corrected a issue where if the above Find and Replace was done and then a Find and Replace on the surname field was done, data loss would occur.

Corrected a issue with Find and Replace where the use of the Free-form date field corrupted the Structured date.

Corrected a issue where text in the Evaluation field couldn't be edited after it was initially entered.

Corrected a issue creating Web pages which caused italics to be incorrectly displayed in the HTML formatting for endnotes.

Now ... if you are thinking of sticking with UFT, I suggest the upgrades. If you are thinking of moving to a program that has "support," I would suggest your going to The Master Genealogist software (TMG) -- see www.whollygenes.com, which can take your UFT data directly into its program without need of GedCom.

Hope this has answered your questions.
